Alaska is the largest US state by area, and its relief is the greatest too: Denali in the Alaska Range rises to 20,310 feet (6,190 m) by the U.S. Geological Survey's 2015 measurement, the highest point in North America, while the coast is at sea level. The Brooks Range crosses the north above the Arctic coastal plain, the Yukon River drains the broad interior, and the Coast Mountains and the Saint Elias Mountains line the south and the panhandle.

In the Ridgeline preview, the southern mountains rise as tall, crowded spikes from the Alaska Peninsula to the panhandle, which trails away to the southeast, and the lines settle across the interior basins and the North Slope. The state is wider than it is tall, so it sits small on the portrait sheet; the islands of the west appear as short broken strokes.

The preview is the Ridgeline export for Alaska with light lines on a dark background, at 18 × 24 inches. In the creator you can change line density, perspective, colors and title, choose a landscape sheet, or switch the state to Contours, Strata or a 3D terrain model.

Questions about the Alaska artwork

Can I make a poster of Denali instead of the whole state?
Yes. At state scale Denali is one spike among many. Open the Denali place page, or search Denali in the creator, to fill the poster with the mountain and the glaciers around it.
Can I make a 3D-printable model of the whole state?
Yes. Switch the product to 3D Terrain Model in the creator to preview the state as a relief model and download STL, 3MF or GLB. Choose a model size that fits your printer and check the slicer preview before printing.
How much does it cost?
Downloads are pay what you want, including free. You can add a contribution at checkout if the artwork or model is worth it to you. No account is needed.
Do you ship a printed poster or a 3D print?
No. Printed Canyon delivers digital files only: PNG, PDF and SVG for posters, and STL, 3MF and GLB for terrain models. You print them at home or through a print shop or 3D-printing service of your choice.
