Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado was established on January 26, 1915. According to the National Park Service, its elevation spans from 7,600 feet to 14,259 feet (4,346 m) on Longs Peak, 77 of its named peaks rise above 12,000 feet, and Trail Ridge Road, the highest continuous paved highway in North America, tops out at 12,183 feet (3,713 m).
