Morocco Topographic Map Poster

Morocco faces both the Atlantic and the Mediterranean. The Rif rises along the Mediterranean coast, and the Atlas Mountains run across the country from the Atlantic toward Algeria, between the coastal plains and the Sahara. Toubkal, in the High Atlas south of Marrakesh, is the highest peak in North Africa at 4,167 meters (13,671 feet).

The artwork follows the outline in Natural Earth's boundary data, which draws Western Sahara, a disputed territory, inside Morocco. In the Strata preview, the Atlas ranges rise in the lightest bands in the north of the frame, and the land steps down in lower bands toward the Atlantic and the desert to the south.
