The Kona swim course as a Ridgeline poster: a narrow loop across Kailua Bay beside the elevation lines of Kailua-Kona
Ridgeline export for Kona Swim Course, as rendered by the creator.

The race begins in the water off Kailua Pier at sunrise. Athletes swim a clockwise rectangle 1.2 miles out along the shore and 1.2 miles back, 2.4 miles (3.86 km) in all, in water that is usually around 79 °F (26 °C). There is no wetsuit here; the ocean is warm, clear and, early in the morning, mostly calm.

The swim course is small next to the bike and run, so this print frames just the village: Kailua Pier, Aliʻi Drive along the water, and the slope of Hualālai rising behind town as a field of elevation lines. The two long legs of the swim show as a narrow loop reaching south-west across the bay.

Keep the Ridgeline look or switch to Contours or Strata. Add your swim split as the title or detail line, or type it into the form on the Kona page and the studio sets the caption for you.

Questions about the Kona Swim Course artwork

Can I put my finishing time on the poster?
Yes. The Kona page has a form for your name and your swim, bike, run and finish times; it writes them onto the print as the caption. You can also edit the title, subtitle and detail line in the studio at any time.
Can I use my own race file instead?
Yes. Upload the GPX file your watch or bike computer recorded, from Garmin, Strava, Wahoo or COROS, and your own line replaces the bundled course. Upload all three legs as one file, or make a separate print for each.
Is this the official course file?
No. The bundled track is drawn on OpenStreetMap road geometry to follow the organiser's published 2026 course maps, and checked against them for length and position. Download the official files from the organiser's course page, and never use these for navigation. Printed Canyon has no connection to the race organiser.
How much does a Kona course poster cost?
Downloads are pay what you want, including free. You receive print-ready PNG, PDF and SVG files for a poster, or STL, 3MF and GLB for a 3D terrain model, and print them yourself or at a print shop. No account is needed.
