Australia Topographic Map Poster

Australia is the driest inhabited continent and one of the flattest. The Great Dividing Range runs down the east side of the continent to Mount Kosciuszko, the highest point on the mainland at 2,228 meters (7,310 feet), while much of the interior is low desert and Kati Thanda–Lake Eyre lies about 15 meters below sea level.

The artwork is the whole country cut to its outline: the mainland, Tasmania and the islands of its states, with distant ones such as Macquarie Island and Lord Howe Island in their true positions. In the Strata preview, the eastern ranges rise through the lightest bands, and the interior spreads out in the low bands.
