Aoraki / Mount Cook is New Zealand's highest mountain at 3,724 meters (12,218 feet), in the Southern Alps of the South Island. Aoraki is its Ngāi Tahu name, and both names have been official since 1998. The national park around it is part of Te Wāhipounamu, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and holds the Tasman Glacier, the longest in the country.
The curated map area is about 32 by 33 kilometers around the summit. In the Contours preview, the lines crowd along the main divide of the Southern Alps and open out across the broad glacier valleys, with the long Tasman valley on the east side of the frame.
The preview is the Contours export for this map area, generated from public global elevation data. In the creator you can change the contour interval, colors and title, move the area, or switch to Ridgeline or Strata. Choose 3D Terrain Model to download the mountain as a printable STL or 3MF; the download credits the elevation source used.
